As a response to our previous post with a hole in the side of an engine block...here is our culprit! A connecting rod snapped! A connecting rod is an engine component that transfers motion from the piston to the crankshaft and functions as a lever arm. Vehicle would continue to run after turning the key off and taking it out. Water intrusion into the fuse box caused an internal short that allowed to fuse box to send constant power to ignition circuit allowing it to remain on. You can see the corrosion within the first several pictures, in the end we showed you what the electrical connectors should like. The video shows the amount of water that has entered the interior of the vehicle potentially contaminating other electronic components.
